CENTREPIECE project officially kicks off: A new EU-funded initiative to advance PEM Fuel cell CCMs manufacturing technology in Europe.
The European project sCalablE iNnovaTive pRocessEs for the ProductIon of fuEl Cells, CENTREPIECE, funded by the Clean Hydrogen Partnership, has officially started with the successful celebration of its Kick-off Meeting at the premises of the project coordinator HyCentA Research GmbH , in Graz (Austria).
CENTREPIECE aims to develop innovative techniques, together with in-line QC processes which will allow high speed manufacturing and will therefore provide the necessary capacity to meet forecasted demand, contributing to Europe’s ambition to accelerate and implement advanced manufacturing techniques for catalyst coated components, therefore generating the need of new industrial processes.
Coordinated by HyCentA Research GmbH , the project gathers a multidisciplinary consortium of seven partners from four different countries including research centres, universities and industry stakeholders. Over the course of 36 months the consortium will work on generating knowledge, tools and solutions that can support the uptake of new manufacturing techniques, by reducing the scrap rate and improving the in-line quality control detection methods across Europe.
This project has received funding from the Clean Hydrogen Partnership under Grant Agreement No 101251185. This Joint Undertaking receives support from the European Union’s Horizon Europe Research and Innovation programme, Hydrogen Europe and Hydrogen Europe Research.
